Food Service
United Construction was hired to site work and building construction for a new Dunkin Donuts located in White River Junction, VT. The 2,600 SF wood framed structure was built in the winter of 2017. Site work included environmental remediation venting and roadway widening for a turning lane.
Custom Lake House
In the Fall of 2016 we were hired to tear down an old cottage and build a new custom home in Sunapee, NH on Perkins Pond. This beautiful new home sits just feet from the shore and offers amazing views of the water. The design for this home was based on the original cottage footprint due to the proximity to the pond.
This house features custom cabinets, energy efficient spray foam insulation, and a gorgeous wrap around deck that leaves the owners just feet from the waters edge.
Custom Lake House
This beautiful new home was a complete renovation of an existing home along with a major expansion of the main house and a complete new garage with living space above. Located in Sunapee NH, this project was built as a vacation home and future retirement home. The renovation included significant structural upgrades to the home along with the use of exterior installed foam sheathing to improve the thermal performance of the existing house envelope. The front of the existing house was expanded closer to the lake with a 20 ft addition, a stone terrace, and a beautiful master bedroom balcony.
In addition, a new attached garage was built featuring a game room and bunk room on the 2nd floor for guests. The home features beautiful stone accents, cedar siding, and gorgeous wide pine flooring throughout.
Community Bank
United Construction was hired in the Winter of 2015 to build the latest Branch location for Claremont Savings Bank on the Charlestown Road in Claremont, NH. The new Branch Office was built to replace the previous location on Maple Ave in Claremont. The new office is a state-of-the-art facility that uses technology to connect customers to the Main Branch via video conferencing.
The new facility is located in the same building as a new Dunkin Donuts franchise. Our contract included complete construction and fit-up of the interior space. The new facility was designed by DRL Architects and the NES Group located in Mansfield, MA.
The new building includes a conference room outfitted with video conferencing hardware and two new ATM’s that offer In-Branch Technology that further assist customers. These new ATM’s offer video conferencing as well so customers can speak with a customer service specialist at the main office.
Squash Court
United Construction was hired to build an Internationally Certified Squash Court at a vacation property located on Lake Sunapee. The project involved building an addition onto an existing guest house complete with a squash court, optional basketball hoop, and viewing balcony. United teamed up with SISR Architects out of Marlow, NH to design and build the structure.
The project includes specialized HVAC equipment to maintain temperature and humidity levels favorable to this type of facility. The exterior frame of the building is wood framed with interior framing of metal studs to meet the strict specifications of a squash court wall. This was a very interesting and rewarding project.
Maintenance Building
Claremont Savings Bank hired United Construction to build a new 2 story maintenance and storage building on their Broad Street campus in Claremont, NH. The project is a 1,500 sf wood framed structure that includes a lower level work shop, bathroom, and mechanical room. The upper floor was designed to be used as long term storage for the bank.
The building was designed by LaValley Building Supply. Our team of sub-contractors included: Watts Up Electric Service, Tasco Security, Goodrich Plumbing & Heating, R.E. Hinkley, Dayco, Foster’s Professional Painting Plus and Phil Buteau Drywall.
School Expansion
United Construction completed both the original construction and addition to the Newport Montessori School located in Newport, NH. The Newport Montessori School offers Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary Education.
Both phases of construction utilized the Design-Build method where United led the project and hired an architect to work with our team. The addition and renovation occurred over the Summer to limit disruption to the classrooms during the school year.
Laboratory Building
United Construction was hired as a sub-contractor by Penta Corporation to build a new laboratory building at the Lebanon, NH Water Water Treatment Plant. The 3,000 sf facility is a wood framed structure featuring wind and seismic connections, energy efficient insulation details, and solar panels.
Colonial Style Home
This 3,200 sf Colonial Style home features a beautiful farmers porch, large open concept design, radiant heat, structured wiring, and custom built-in cabinetry. First floor layout includes: mudroom, large open kitchen, formal dining room, breakfast area/home office room, living room, formal family room, and foyer. The second floor includes: master bedroom suite with walk-in closet and whirlpool tub, three additional bedrooms, additional second floor bathroom and bonus family room. This house also features a large deck and full walkout basement.
